You can never have enough storage. Was umming and wondering if this was going to work but took a gamble and so far its worked out pritty well.
As you know on the 8P there was a cargo net that goes flat with the under tray of parcel shelf. I saw this on ebay and took the risk to purchase this.
The first problem was the orientation, as you can see from the picture below when trying to line up the shape of the cargo net it wasn't going to fit. There was a large gap and it wasn't going to fit flush.
The simple solution was to rotate the bar around and with along the support side. This would allow the net to sit flush against the curves of the under tray of the parcel shelf.
Once I decided this would sit neatly I needed to move the elastic band to the other side but the hole in which it sit in wouldn't be big enough. So with some appliers and a bit of force I was able to make the metel housing a bit smaller.
So as you can see from the below, it would fit neatly and tightly in the space available.
Now with a bit of alignment you can see how this was going to fit.
And with the mesh fitted.
With some 3x12mm screws in place and to hold the cargo net down we have our finished result.
Note, I've tried it with 3x16mm and this would go through the shelf resulting in some sharp spikes along the top side of the shelf.
Any questions feel free to ask.
