Comfort control module

So I'm having issues with this. The key guy couldn't program a key fob to unlock the doors as he said vcds won't communicate with the ccm. So I got a replacement one out if the scrappie and still the same... Here's what it says

So where should I start looking?
 
Will vcds read any other modules ? What did you get out the scrapyard? If key are you sure the board is the same.

I got a module from another audi although it was from a 1.6.the part number for the s3 one is 8DO 862 257 and the part number for the other one is 8LO 862 257. Slightly different
