Something missing

Can't help noticing. My driver side door with window up. There's a gap between the glass and the top of the inner door card , not the same on pass side which is nicely against the glass .
The driver died you can see like a foam strip , I thought it was the door car not been fitted properly as if it needs to be raised up and hook over the foam part .
Tried this today , removed door car and re fitted with trying to bring it over the foam part then locate back down but wouldn't work .

Im now now thinking there's a strip of some kind missing ????????

Daz, that what I was thinking so as said removed it and re fitted it but tried to fit over this foam part at the top but instead it went down onto the slotted strip it sits on which is just behind the foam part .
Will try and get a pic tomorrow
