They are restoring a mk1 Escort Mexico today.

I had a mk1 escort to restore, but family life took over so I sold it to a mate. It still makes me cry thinking about it.

My old man bought my mum an Escort Mk1 1300GT as a present the day she came out of hospital after giving birth to me. It was the first car I was ever transported in! Brand spanker in metallic green with black stripes. Just watching the show on Sky+ now.

Managed to watch this last night, i thought it was awesome!!

Some real good memories of the Escorts and how cool they are.

I would love to own one and make it look like they did, the Harris's were a pretty clued up bunch with the engines, the all loved a bit of do-nutting as well hey??

Missed last weeks, as I wasn't in the country, but I managed to catch most of this weeks whilst I was working. Better than Classic Car Rescue on Ch5, but it's similar in concept.

Another great restoration..... that Mexico was awesome..... they keep going on about the cars going to auction at the start of each prog but then don't mention it again ? is the last show perhaps going to show what they all sold for ?? that Mexico must have pushed past £20,000

Friend has a delorian ended up spending the first 5 mins of the program texting him to get him in front of the tv , was interesting about the owner i did not know he ended up in jail from drug dealing to fund the company, suppose it shows he was trying everything to keep it afloat.

Missed the first 20 minutes of the DeLorean eps, will watch it now actually online. I think it's because of Back to the Future films that's made me very interested in this car. The story behind it all is a shock to me though, but it's nice to know.

As it was on Channel 4 and not the BBC at least the loss will be covered by advertising revenue and not our license payers fees!

Just watched the final episode last night, was good to see them go for some decent money.

I guess unfortunately the time, blood, sweat and tears often gets bypassed when selling a car thats had a lot of work done to it, its normally the material items that have a value put on them and people often try to recuperate that dont they.

I was impressed with the series, well done Channel 4!!
