Not only does my MPG go down when I use V-Power over standard 95, but my performance seems to go down too - it feels like it has more lag.

Suprisingly my 1.8t FSI runs best on Asda fuel where I now get 400 miles to a tank vs 320 to a tank on V-Power or the Tesco equivalent - but it also runs and boosts a lot harder?

Shouldn't it be the other way round, even on a standard map?

Am I right in thinking it is worth running a full tank of Vpower every few months to promote engine life (i did this in my tdi as it contains 2 stroke engine oil).

Never ever put low grade fuels in my car :/ dunno if I would try it but mine seams to boost harder on tesco momentum and smoother on vpower.

V power burns more evenly, has a better explosion to standard fuel and with v power tuners can advance the timing more compared to standard therefore it should run better on it. Not necessarily more economical.
