Hi all. Just thought I would spread this around. Was invited to it from a Facebook friend. This apparently is a massive meet for all types of cars and is to be held at Straiton just off the Edinburgh bypass. Im going to attend so that I can do a bit of marketing and hopefully get quite alot of business. If anyone is interested in going then PM me and we'll meet up there.

I may join you Mark, want to check it out:) x

Well the cruise was very well attended. Disappointed to see only 4 Audis there. 2 S3's, TT and a TDI A3. Think I was a little bit too old as felt right out of place seeing as the majority of them were still wet behind the ears. Corsa VXR was the most common car there with a lot of Civics.

Hi there first i want to say hello. i just bought a audi a3 and i like going on cruises and meeting up with other people that are into there cars.

The edinburgh cruise was the first time i been there with the new car :). it was a great night out alot of nice cars there.

Did not see many audi there. I have allways wanted to join a group were we could park beside each other and show of the cars at shows or cruises in scotland, Edinburgh area :).

google lead me to this post. and also the site.
quick question ... does this cruise still go ahead? and whats happened to all the cruise websites?
( ive been away from it for a good few years - has it died? )

Yeah I believe the cruise scene came to a halt afew years ago and then there was this one at Straiton Park n Ride. It was well attended by alot of the cruise clubs and the Police but a good night had by all with no hassle whatsoever.

i remember the good old days when every town has its own cruise website. we were talking about this in the pub the other night, so i decided to do a little googling.. all the old ones are gone except for that strathycruise one, but no recent posting at all.

T'was a scene I used to be pretty involved in, its a shame to see how much its died off.... some awesome memories from nights like these!

Was it a bit of a ned-fest then Mark? I remember the old Falkirk Cruise meets turned into a bit of a ned gathering who just wanted to show off, causing the police to crack down on it hard and dish out thousands of needless fines.

Would have came through for a look but didnt get on the forum this weekend.

Its a resurrected old post mate - its from a year ago :)

I know a lot of people in the cruise scences. Then main one in the central scotland is these people https://www.facebook.com/#!/SCOTTISHCRUISERS?fref=ts

Falkirk is the main one and livingston one happens once every so often. and thier are other ones that happen in different area but it is all done thourgh facebook know.

I try to go to then. Iam allways at livingston one if iam not work.

There used to be one very frequently at Hermiston Gait, Livi had one fairly regularly too, and i remember the one at the falkirk wheel which was on every month.

Always ruined by chavvy fks doing burnouts or driving up and down the crowded car parks flat out. Then everyone moaned when the police would shut it down. They couldnt seem to have the mental power to understand that the police dont have an issue with the gathering, they have an issue with the folk driving like *****. If they just parked up and enjoyed the motors there wouldnt be a problem.

Its been a good 7-8 years since ive went to one proper though, though i've driven round the carpark at livi asda when theres a gathering in more recent times, everyone seems to be about 17 and look like they're still in high school and it just makes me feel old lol.

I cant agree with this anymore.. there was a Time we used to go to Falkirk and Stirling on a weekly basis and It was a good night out.
I remember every second car used to be an old skool ford. mk1 & 2 escorts capris and a few early seirra's and the occasional mk1 nova.. now Im defo feeling old...
when I was first doing the cruises I had a chevette with a 2.1 pinto under the bonnet.. then I moved on to the RWD escorts
