Thread: sat nav disk help please

hi all

im doing a single din to a double din conversion, ive managed to get a cage and a sat nav also the climate control so im pretty much ready to do the work.

ive just purchased a sat nav i believe its the rns-d model (got a screen in the middle and 2 round knobs and buttons either side.) any idea what dvd i would need? also would a rns-e dvd work in it?

D uses cdrom & E uses dvdrom, not interchangeable, personally I would of stepped over the D model & just installed the E, so much better overall, really is.

I would just trim your current climate control, so sell the climte control & RNS-D and get the RNS-E

Hi,
I am in the process of doing this conversion as well.
I was saving up funds to purchase a double din climate control and then came accross this post.

How do I trim the existing climate control, is there any pictures on the web or this site I can have a look at.
Sorry for asking but I did search and cant seem to find anything.
