RNS-E Mute Problems

Hello,

I have the latest RNS-E installed into my Audi A3 2009 Black Edition but i am having a problem with the mute function, it mutes fine but whenever i take it off mute the volume is quite high, even if i just turn the volume knob up 1 notch it still plays the volume high.
Does anyone know if there is a fix for this?

It could be a faulty volume dial, does the volume go up/down normally with the knob or does it go low when turning to high & vice versa?

I noticed that on my S3 rns-e, volume normal, hit mute, un mute = volume really loud. Though it odd, but never really bothered me

Thanks for the replies.
The volume works fine normally it's only when I mute it that it goes dodgy. It's not a major problem it's just slightly annoying
