Been trying to figure out the sds on my rnse and I'm getting a bit confused. The system allows me to make calls and store name tags but there's no sds menu that I can see anywhere and the system won't allow me to change between radio, nav etc, it just says function not available or something similar. Any ideas?

Ability to make calls etc is called Voice Control, SDS is a completely different thing.
What RNS-E do you have? MK1 there is a software hack, MK2 is a hardware job. Both also require the re-routing of the microphone too.

SDS or Speech Dialogue System is the same a voice control, it's just that there are two levels, BT SDS and full SDS.
I'm guessing that as I only have a phone menu that I only have the basic setup then? It's a mk1 I believe. Oem unit on an 07 plate a4
