Do genuine MMI dvd's work in an RNS-E unit?

Hi, hope someone can help me please, i have just bought from Ebay what was listed as a genuine 2009 DVD set.

However it has arrived today and is actually a genuine 2010 MMI Navigation (3G) DVD, my question is does this dvd work in an RNS-E unit?(factory fitted in a 54 plate A4 avant).

I haven't tried it, as i don;t know if it will cause any problems
