Thread: Do i have AMI?

i have just got a 2008 S3 from an audi dealer which came with ipod connection in the gloves box but i don't know if this is AMI or just a standard ipod connect? i have a concert II or III (double DIN one) and i access the ipod by pressing the cd button couple times, and it reads it like a cd changer no track names just track numbers.

Im now looking to upgrade to the rns-e. will the track names show when using the ipod? do i need AMI for this or will ipod connect work?

Also im looking to get rns-e, do i need one with the media button and chrome knobs? or will the ipod connection i have work with any rns-e?

AMI is ony available with the 2010 satelite navigation systems, so you do not have AMI, just standard Ipod interface.

If you upgrade to RNS-E and want an AMI, make sure you get the 2010 model.
