A3 Rns-e (buying)

Will be picking up my A3 tdi 08plate next week.

First mod has got to be RNS-E unit, had a bid on ebay but missed out.

There seem quite a few from poland /lithuania. Anyone bought from these sources ? what they like?

Live near Edinburgh, might have a go at fitting myself, but would need it coded, anyone nearby?

cheap alternative (if it does what it says)

When looking at the pics I seen the sat nav version they have loaded is the same as my hand held one I bought last year. It was MP4 music & sat nav combined (cheapie bout £50) from China via Hong Kong. Played music & vid ok but sat nav kept crashing as soon as you got near a bridge, in fact I think the thing had eyes in it as it would crash before you even got to the bridge Drove me nutzs.

Experience = dont mind taking a punt on something at £50 but £500 nah................buy cheap......usually buy twice. My 2cents worth

Do yourself a favour mate, steer well clear, it looks like the one a few people tested & found to be utter crap.
