iPhone 4 with RNS non-display of Directory

Is it possible to make this version show directory of iPhone 4 in DIS via Bluetooth.

The Nokia 6230 works fine, but only via reading the sim card through the hands free kit fitted in the armrest. So, is there a workaround?

    What car is it?
    How old is the car?
Is everything factory fitted or retrofit?

2005 B7 A4 3.0TDi S-line Quattro Auto. As far as I know, this is a factory installation. It has the full phone preparation in the armrest and Bluetooth connectivity.

Sounds to me like the BT module is too old, the wrong type (D or E revision) or possibly a coding issue.

If it's factory fit you'll have colour dis and a shark fin...... Second what s8craig says. Older Audi BT modules don't fully support the later iphones.

You'll need a tool like vagcom/vcds to log into the car & the BT module to check what it has been programmed for, you can ask a kind member to do this by clicking the vcds members list link in my sig or buy vcds to do yourself, the latter is more expensive btw & I do sell these.

It may also be as already stated, older module, only 1 real logical way to find out mate.

OK thanks for the info. I bought VCDS already but haven't used it yet as I am not a techie and it scares me a bit. I only bought it because the Xenons on my car do not adjust for continental driving from the RNS menu.

Looking at the DIS, does green red and white count as colour? No sharkfin, so it looks like I have a ******* of a car that doesn't want to play. Another thing, there are two recorded phone contacts on the system which I cannot delete.

Thank you for all your help so far.
