2001 Audi S3 (X reg) 4WD, facelift, in Silver with full black leather, electric & heated Recaro interior on 91,000 miles and a lot of service history. 9 months MOT and Taxed until December.
Four Wheel Drive,
Full, electric and heated black leather Recaro interior in excellent condition,
Black piano trim,
Fully working Driver Information System - no dead pixels,
Bose sound system, with a 6 disc cd changer,
Optional extra 18 inch alloy wheels, with 10mm spacers on the front and 15mm on the rear,
Six speed manal gearbox.
Bilstein B8 dampers,
Apex 30mm lowering springs, which are nice and comfortable for general driving but improve the handling no end when pushing on,
Brembo 4 piston calipers from a Leon Cupra R,
323mm grooved and vented discs,
New Ferodo DS2500 pads,
New Badger 5 braided lines,
Forge turbo-charge pipe connecting elbow pipe,
Pipewerx 3 inch down pipe and decat,
Milltek non resonated cat back exhaust system,
Badger 5 three inch turbo intake pipe - can be supplied with either a Jetex cone filter or standard air box,
Forge 007p diverter valve,
AH Fabrications large front mount intercooler with 63mm piping,
Integrated Engineering con rods with Calico big end bearings,
AEB big port head,
Forge short shift,
Uprated dog bone mount.
All of which were professionally installed at Badger 5 and result in the car running 280 bhp and 270 ftlbs of torque at a sensible 22 psi. These are realistic figures from a well set up dyno so no BS ‘Remap to 280 brake with a panel filter’ here, this is the real deal.
It’s worth mentioning that the big port head has also had it’s timing checked meticulously to ensure everything is correct and that the exhaust is unobtrusive when driving around town and cruising on the motorway but it makes a fantastic noise when accelerating quickly.
Maintenance items, in the past year the car has had the following;
New cambelt when the AEB head was fitted less than 500 miles ago, with the water pump being done c. 4000 miles ago.
4 new OEM coil packs,
4 new spark plugs,
3 oil changes and filter changes in the past 9 months associated with the above works,
New OEM Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF),
New N75 valve,
New oil pick up pipe and sump cleaned - It is common for this to get blocked up,
New Sachs Paddle clutch plate - uprated to take more torque,
New OEM Dual Mass Flywheel,
New OEM cover plate,
Haldex oil & filter change,
Brake fluid change.
The above is mainly preventative maintenance on things that are known to go wrong and good general maintenance, no expense has been spared to keep my s3 in top condition.
It took me a while to find an s3 in such good condition, I have an a4 folder full of receipts from previous owners and from myself to back this up, as pictured. The leather seats are in really good condition, as is the paintwork. Since buying the car I have spent thousands of pounds upgrading and maintaining it, with a view to making it a 350 bhp + monster, hence the upgraded engine internals and big port head, but now I fancy a b5 RS4, so I need to sell my pride and joy.
It's worth noting that, because of when it was first registered, this s3 is cheaper to tax than later models.
It also has a couple of layers of extra gloss protection so any rainwater beads up really well and it will be professionally detailed for the buyer before collection.
The not so great bits;
The wheels could do with a refurb,
There is a scuff on the rear bumper but you only notice it when you’re up close and cleaning the car, it is pictured non the less, and a few other marks caused by previous owners but nothing serious.
Aside from these minor issues it wants for nothing and is a very quick car all year round thanks to the 4wd system, perfect for the up coming winter!
Everything is in place for you to have a very well set up S3, with a lot of work already been done in preparation for more power, should you wish to, if not it is a fantastically quick car as it is, you would need to spend upwards of £7000 in parts alone to get it to this stage.
