Audi RS6 Saloon.

Hey all, may seem like a silly question but I was always under the impression that the only 'RS6' before last year was shaped as an avant, all saloons were therefore S6's. Can someone put my mind to rest and tell me does this exist or do people just badge their S6's with RS6 badges.

They always used to stick to the avant in RS models but they broke the rules when making the RS6

nope! the rs6 was sold in avant and saloon. There seems to be alot more saloons around than avant, if buying a saloon be carfull of price. On adverage there worth about 3-4k less. At least this is what i found when looking to find one! Still a very nice car for the money tho. To tell the s and Rs apart have a look at the brake callipers, they should say RS on them, and also the seats have RS stamped in them along with alot of other stuff but these are the two bits that cost alot to change so people with reps dont bother.

hello marmite, see we both posted at the same time! Down my way the saloons seem to rule with about 10/1. Anyway the avant is faster

They only made the Plus in avant mate, was thinking about swapping mine for plus last month as we had one in as a trade in

i really would not bother mate, just send yours to grizz for a re map, at least you know you have a nice clean car, just lacking the extra Bhp thats locked away. And it will be alot quicker than a plus after!

I have so many times nearly remaped her but the mrs uses it alot more now we sold her car and I bought her a Cooper S, so we swap cars when we need to
Dare I say it is fast enough as it is, she drives it too fast at the moment anyway so with 10% more power it will be wrong.

I have the option of alot of fast cars to play with when required now so standerd she will stay(for now)change my mind like the wind!

I have driven a couple not sure of power one was meant to be 550+ which was well quick, took the degree of being able to drive it normally if you wanted to, it seemed to be backing off all the time with it(was 2 years ago I drove it)

The other one was An audi factory map back in 2002 when it was first launched which was great too, but really remember how it went as too long ago.
