RS4 Steering column clicking

hi wondered if anyone has had simliar problems?

turning at slow speeds creates a clicking noise from the steering column, have just had the bushes renewed last week

Have read could be the slip ring? Also have you moved the steering wheel recently? Could just need adjusting...

Only had the car a few weeks, no history of works to the steering!

Hi,

Had what seems to be a similar problem. As yuo turn the wheel when standing still gives a clunky feel with a mechanical knock.

If your's is the same it's bad news, Audi just fitted a new steering rack to mine, thankfully under warranty as there was a crack in the sterring rack??

Hopefully yours isn't that bad, originally they thoguht it was a loose bolt?
