460bhp - 500bhp RS4 Conversion.

It would seem that most people are very happy with the RS4's standard 380bhp, for a while. The next obvious move is the re-mapped ECU (chipping) and the exhaust system.

This will give depending on engine about 460bhp. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Has anyone gone the whole hog and pushed it to over 500bhp. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/groovy.gif

Questions - is it worth it? is it going to be reliable in the long run? and can you feel the extra 40 - 50 bhp?

Not sure, the CCC test was done without the use of the nitrous, I'll check and see if we've a copy of the mag at work....

I went in a chipped RS4 with an upgraded turbo it was pushing out about 540bhp - 0-60 came in just under 4 seconds.
I was totally gobsmacked at the speed of the beast.
I didn't get to find out how much he had spent but i'd say it was worth every penny.
