RS4 2007 CAM BELT

Can anyone tell me when the cambelt is due to be changed on a 2007 rs4

I have done 40k miles so far

Rs4 b7 is chain driven not belt. Should not need changing anytime soon..

Had a letter from Southampton Audi last year telling me the cam belts needed changing on my B7 RS4 - plonkers!

There's an amazing picture on the net of the rear end of the RS4 engine which shows the multiple duplex chains.

The reason I ask is that i am looking at selling my RS4, went on we buy any car who offered me £19k which i didnt think was that bad, but they said they will knock 1.5k off if cambelt not changed !!!!

Webuyanycar are a bunch of total idiots then.

Ask them to send you a copy of the service schedule for the B7 RS4 that specifies the cambelt change interval - they can't because there is no cambelt!

I bet they're thinking of the B5 which AFAIK does have a cambelt...
