I've been looking at audi RS4 on auction.
When you want to start the car it shows on display to press clutch but when I press it nothing happens and still shows to press clutch.
Any ideas?

Clutch switch above footwell maybe, without checking etka/elsa cant say for sure, need to get vcds on it tbh see what that shows, but if there is a switch/sensor in that area that detects the pedal being moved & this isnt working then it could be that simple.

I did think about that but there is no chance to get VCDS connected to it as it's an auction.
I'll see for what price it goes. I might have it if it's a bargain.

Worth pointing out that the message to press the clutch doesn't go even when you do press the clutch.
It only changes when the engine fires into life so whilst I agree the clutch switch is a likely candidate the symptoms do not point to a conclusive diagnosis.
What did it sell for?
Chris
i know this might sound silly but are you pushing the start button located near the hand brake when pressing the clutch?
