Traction control question

When you press the button esp i would have thought it turns the traction control off,the light on the dash flashes to tell you so.However if you press and hold the button for 5 seconds the esp light stays on solid.Does this mean it is completely off,not watered down.

That is correct. Holding it for atleast 3 seconds i beleive, turns off all the protection. pressing it once simply turns off traction control, but ESP is still active.
