B5 RS4 BELLY TRAY?

Ive just bought a 2001 RS4 and its belly tray is missing, can somebody please
tell me if there meant to be metal or plastic belly trays and would a belly tray
from a normal A4 from that sort of age fit as it should be easier to pick a second
hand one up.

A4/S4 don't fit. VW Phaeton one fits and is a damn site cheaper than the RS4 one which is around £200. The tray is plastic but I beleive there was a metal one available too.

Thanks for that. Is it just the early VW Phaetons that will fit?
I will sort some pics out and post. Just having a new Lcd in dash cluster
fit at the moment.

Many RS4s don't actually have one fitted. They've been removed over the years as they don't really serve a massive purpose. That said they must streamline airflow under the front of the car.

Not sure also if they get taken off for servicing etc in that area of the car.

I don't have one - and not particularly bothered about fitting one either.
