Air Con recharge....

My brother in-laws air con in his Q5 (2011) has started to smell a bit. Almost like an old wet towel / mouldy smell.....

Should this be able to be cleaned/recharged under warranty or does it require an independent company to carry out the work??

It needs an aircon bomb tbh to clean out the bacteria in the system, you can buy these online, so try that route 1st, as I don't see an 11 plate car needing regassing etc.

I think it's chilling ok but just the odour that's the main problem...

Will see if an Air con bomb works first before sending back to main dealer.

Audi would do the same, but make sure you put it on recirc on climate or its a waste of time lol.
