    RS3 servicing - Berkshire & Bucks area

    Hi all,

Time to bring in my RS3 for first service.. can anyone recommend a decent indie Audi specialists around the Berks/Bucks area?

Had a quote from Audi Slough for close to £400 for change of engine oil, filter, sparkplugs & pollen filter.

Is it worth going that path..?

yea, rang my audi slough and provided them my reg nos.

They did a check on their system and said I needed those.. sounds like a major service for that kind of monies.

Can you confirm what was required for first service?

    Cheers

C'mon tee-bee, read your Audi Service Schedule booklet...

See page 7, this details work required at: 19,000 miles and/or 2-years (no spark plugs and/or pollen filter for the RS3)

Now see page 9, detailing the replacement of spark plugs for all (petrol engine) models; the RS3 is clearly shown as 19,000 miles and/or 6-years.

I doubt your at 6-years, so, what's your mileage?

    If it's 19,000 miles then it's plugs...

It's all in your Audi Service Schedule booklet...

Try A.R.M in Newbury. I used to bring my Megane RS there but they also have an Audi specialist.

You will unless the garage you use is an authorised Audi UK franchise and importantly you have a dealer stamp to correspond with that service. It's not just about following the service schedule or using OEM parts, it is about the work done on the car and workmanship involved and if not done by Audi apporved technicians (most ex Master tech's don't classify as that when they leave the Audi Group) then it may void warranty as the quality of workmanship cannot be guaranteed.

Doesn't matter than most independent will do as good as or better a job, they are not in Audi or their frnachisees employ.
