help fitting a3 facelift tailgate to prefacelift 57 plate 3 dr

hi there I would appreciate some input reference the above issue , I own a 3 dr fsi 57 plate and someone keyed the hatch I got it painted and because of my ocd im not happy with the finish, so In my wisdom lol I bought a 2008 -09 tailgate which appears the same apart from the design feature of the line ,the new one has the loom intact to the car including the plugs on car side , I know I need to change the lock , my question is can I use the loom or do I need to pull mine through and where does it plug into in the roof lining .all in put would be appreciated , I always look on here for help and appreciate the forum thanks steph .

Any how , got the mod done for anyone who wants to know changing a a3 8p2 to 8p3 facelift tailgate, it fits straight on and the wiring loom is the same .to fit you need to remove the d pillar and boot trims as loom extends down the d pillars .Inside the tailgate you need to swap the control unit over no biggie thanks steph.
