I'm sure you've all heard the news by now but I think he deserves his own thread:
Al Murray has it spot on when he says that people have no shame any more. And I fear things are only going to get worse.

What a disgrace!!!
Heard this on the radio this morning but this is the first pic i've seen of it. It is shocking. I can only put it down to his youth and naivety. Hopefully the plonker will learn from it.

hahahaha yeah a real piece of crap this guy , he would be put in stocks out side the busiest pub in london for a fortnight and everytime a guy needed a piss he would be peed on until he turned yellow and his clothes ended up like glass ?? lol that should do the trick
edit ..once released from the stocks and he's completly broken and happy frantic to be released he would then be hung for treason ....alot of men went in that war , shocking really and tbh i have been so so so wasted and just peed all over the place but never would i do something like that young , old , angry , or totally wasted you still know what you doing
the pic is a little funny though imagin in his head he's just wasted thinking feeeeeck oooff as he's peeing all over ... but the nextday i bet he was mortified .. still no excuse , to the stock's with this tripe ....

Its just a sign of the times......I popped into Blackpool a few weeks back, and saw some bloke was taking a pee over a cash point.........
I think its high time the 24 hour unlimited boozing was binned (bloody stupid idea that), and we revert back to pubs closing at 11:00. & nightclubs chucking out at 2am....
Maybe introducing what they have in some states in the USA where no alcohol for under 21's could work.

We've all done stupid things in our youth.......... I know I've done more than I care to remember....!!
But if you get pissed out of your head and act like a complete and utter piece of lowlife f*cking ****e........ You should expect some consequences...
In this case the appropriate punishment would be a decent beating from a member of HM Forces, preferably at the scene of the crime.... That would remind him to be careful where he points his knob, especially when totally ****ered......!!
In my personal opinion

I think the idea of 24 hour licensing was a good one in theory but we had already developed a binge drinking culture (been there and done that myself too) which just gets exacerbated by keeping places open longer.
Personally I love the way it's done in Germany and NL. Been out many times where you just sit in a bar and have a nice chat and get nicely tipsy then if you want to go clubbing you go. Never any trouble. Would never happen here.
There is trouble over here. But it's so occasional and so slight, that someone who grew up in the UK would barely notice it. I can go out drinking of a night and come back with absolutely no scuffs or bruises. Basically if you get a smack in the mouth here in Germany, you've done something a bit more serious than look at someone's pint![]()

Why is the blame placed on alcohol?
He is in the big wide world now and should be acting like a grown up and having some responsibility for his actions and not saying its someone elses fault like a spoilt little kid?
He knows what effect alcohol can have so why not be sensible and drink less?
And yes, we have all done stupid things in our time, but how many of you blamed something else rather than accept you acted like a plonker?

Tis a bit harsh in all fairness. I, for one, was still more than a tad wet behind the ears at that age. Hopefully the outrage that his actions have caused will be enough to make him think a little more next time...
Edit - Is that a George cross on his shirt?! how ironic would that be if it is?!
'98 A3 T Sport - Jabbafied :D
I don't think its harsh at all, the effects of alcohol are well know and documented. So its not like he didn't know what was going to happen.
If you can't accept the consequences of your actions then you should put a bit more thought into what you are about to get yourself into.
And when it all goes wrong, admit you screwed up and accept it, not try and blame something else.

This is another prime example that shows that this country has a very serious problem with alcohol.
The beer here is like water, but people drink so much of it on a night out and then end up misbehaving. To make matters worse, the stupid antics are seen as a badge of honour.
In most other countries, drinking and getting absolutely paraletic is a thing of shame.
Then you have the Government who brought in the Licensing Act, (one of the worst acts ever enacted), to try to address the issue, as they are with this new idea of minimum prices. No amount of Legislation will help the issue.
You know why? Because it is a cultural thing. The Brithish do not know when to stop drinking.
As for that aforementioned moron, make him scrub the memorial down with a toothbrush, wearing a neon green jump suit while shouting out at the top of his voice like a town cryer, that he will never drink to excess again. Oh, and have filmed and available on the red button as well as on BBC iplayer.

Sorry can you please explain that?
Unless you mean the Licensing Act 1964 in which case, ok.
But the Licensing Act 2003 is one of the best pieces of registration brought out in relation to deal with alcohol related issues (that and the police and crime reduction act 2006), not only is well written but it gives Police and Local Councils immense power to deal with the very issues raised here like no other act ever has.

Yep, definitely a messed up thing to do.
As JPO says, we've all done some unbelievable stuff when pissed though, stuff that we'd be DISGUSTED by normally.
I've even known friends binge once too often and then never ever drink again due the shame and sheer lack of control etc.
