Are British Airways taking the piss?

On the news today - BA are going to start charging you if you want to put more than 1 bag in the hold. OK, Ryannair, Flybe etc. already do this - and you pay a fiver each way.

BA want to charge 120 each way for transatlantic; 60 each way for European and 30 each way for domestic.

Exactly, a planet full of empty planes isn't anygood to them.

Once over the name meant something and businesses used to use them all the time. But I know more and more people who are switching to other airlines. They'll be charging for use of their steps while boarding next.

Even though I only ever have one bag, I've got no interest in using them now if that's their attitude. It just seems too underhand to me. Do baggage handlers get paid by the bag, not the hour?
