Members from the Audi TT forum are evil b@&£4t0s

I've been I that forum for 8 months and thought it was okay but seems like when I asked a question that's been asked before these men don't like it and hurl abuse at me or make comments about my questions being drivel.
I joined the forum in aug 2012 as I own an Audi TT and wanted to make new friends and also get help and advise in things I'm trying to learn about but certain members are foul mouthed and verbally abusive and trying to make out I'm another member in disguise which is pathetic.
One of those idiots work at Norfolk performance car sales and is one obnoxious pri**

i found that too on the TT Forum, i think its because they think they own 911's but they don't and have anger issues or small man syndrome.

    Hi SL4VE

glad to see a fellow member that actually agrees with me as its mainly one member but the rest seem to follow like lost sheep in a herd.
Even the moderators seem to crack sly comments when they are meant to be calming the situation.
This member has typed my real name into the forum which has really upset me as if I wanted to use my real name, I would have used it as my user name, what a b@£t37d - can I say that on here sorry mods

I'm gonna be honest and, not justify the abuse, but at least sympathise with folk who get miffed when the same questions get answered time and time again.

Asking for help is fine and dandy, but at least make the effort to research the question you're asking before you ask it. Granted there will be cases where you do inevitably end up asking something which has been covered before - but there's other examples, not just on here by the way, of folk asking questions which are covered a few threads below the one they start.

That said, there's a way to handle it - and hurling abuse etc probably isnt that way.

Par for the course on many Forum sites whatever the interest or subject. You must remember the world is full of odd people with a variety of personality issues or disorders who are unable to communicate or make friends in the normal way. The computer is manna from heaven for them as in the privacy of their homes, or more likely sad shabby flats, they can give vent to their anger and insecurities without having to face the consequences.

Yes are correct in that aspect as these people on that forum are just pathetic and I have another word but will refrain from using it.

btw Is it illegal to put someones home details on the net and their car being parked outside their house as this is what this one low life's have done!.

FFS, disn't someone already post complaining about TT owners!!!!???!!! Would a search kill you?!?!

Joking - afraid that's just part of forum life. This lot are a nicer bunch (though I guess there are still some 'heated' debates and stubborn members).

    Hi kp,

I know what you're saying about the TT Forum. I joined up in 2008 after getting a mk1 and at the time, it was a great forum. Lots of helpful people on it and any question asked was answered or at least they would point you in the right direction. I even had a few forum members meet up with me in the first few months of ownership to help out with some problems on the car. Unfortunately, recently there has been an influx of twats on the forum and most if not all of the helpful people have moved on to other forums. I very rarely go on the TT Forum anymore as I feel disgusted with some of the people on there.

I know there have been a few people posting about some DIY mods that they have done them self, and I know a forum is open to positive and negative criticism, but the abuse he guy was getting was a disgrace and personally I would have banned those whos comments were not needed.

But its better on here anyway and I'll try to help out with any TT stuff

I know this is not the most active section of the forum, but for all you TT owners on here, if there is anything we can do to make this section more useful/better for you then Pm me your ideas and we will look into it for you. x

Although we don't have a TT we are new to this forum and have found it a great wealth of information and the owners are very accommodating and always offer help and support.

i have been on forums where if you ask a question you get slated for it and ended up moving on, I always work on the basis that if I can help I will and if someone has done something to their car differently to someone else I will always comment positively even if its not to my specific taste,

I agree that everyone is entitled to an opinion but if you don't like something or disagree with what someone has said or done just dont post on the thread it really is that simple.

Hi, it's nice when forum members help and even go out of their way to help members but there are members who are evil on that site regardless of how times a question is posted!.

    Hiya,

Yeah bunch of to***** on that forum but there are also some nice people too.
Shame it's like that and even the mods are in on the action as they do nothing to the trouble makers!.

Everything car related is down to opinion, doesn't matter how people perceive the car so long as the owner's happy. Already been said but people will get annoyed if the OP's question has been answered as it shows no initiative to search. Some here will be keyboard warriors regardless.

We've had afew TTOC and forum members convert over to ASN as they prefer the ASN way. Every meet I organize in Scotland is open to the TTOC and all other OC's and quite alot pitch up and we all know each other but they do keep themselves to themselves but still give good advice when needed.

I do have to say that most TTOC members and forum users are very helpful and a good laugh but when you get the odd few who think it's funny to take the mick and make up Bull**** about racism without any evidence to back this and getting me banned was just well out of order!.
Fact" was he couldn't take being called a names like doner kebab, humpty dumpty etc lol but calls people names all the time and the forum Mods allow it but when the tables are turned it's banning time for the innocent!.
