Thread: Parking ticket machines.

Really annoyed today, went into my normal carpark to find it's full, so drove out of it to find half the street empty, so I decided to park off the street and buy a ticket instead. £4.20 for 2hours is what I was after, and guess what?, the stupid machine took my monies but didn't give me a display ticket!! Now I know why there was so many empty spaces, the machine has had more than just me.

Anyways, I took a pic of the machine and a pic of the pretty much empty street as evidence, what's my chances of getting my £4.20 back?

To be honest, it's not the money that I'm wanting, it's the principle of it all!

this happened to me last week but it turns out the ticket was not finding its way down the little chute although it was printed out correctly, I had phonewd the number on the box and they had a techie guy around the corner who was there in 2 minutes

Yeah thats like 1 in a billion chance happening again, unless that parking area made them millions to keep a guy on call round corner 24/7 :P

Did you lose any money though? Mine didn't even display that message, it just tried to print something and nothing came out, and you could hear it take the money. Urgh!

Oh yes, this came up after I put my money in and it made a few noises

Jo, i feel your pain, i normally just park in multi storeys now if i can, as they always have the 'help' button, which when used shows how bothered they are, as they normally just say in my experience, just go to the barrier and we will let you through....perfect

I parked in Blackpool footie ground a few months back to take my boy to the tower. Anyway to get out the c.p the barrier needed to be raised. But at the time none of the machines were working. So we were hanging around for what seemed like forever, until the security guard turned up to fix the machine. It was scary cos it was wknd and loadsa piss heads about! Damn Machines!
