Q7 and snow?

Getting all set to move to Romania for a few years with work and have just sold our Range Rover Sport Supercharged. Planning a replacement 4x4 as when it snows in Romania, it properly snows.

I'm deciding between a RRS TDV8 and a Q7 3.0 TDI.

From my own experience, Iknow the RRS would handle the snow no problem at all, even on regular tyres, but reading stories that the Q7 struggles with only minor improvements using winter tyres.

Figured best thing is to ask some Q7 owners for genuine owners experience of their cars in the snow.

Im not off-roading but just need to know I'm buying a car I can count on...

On any 4x4 its all down to tyres and ground clearance . Discos and RR come with chunky not very low profile tyres as standard . Q7 will have summer only low profile tyres which will be a big limiting factor .

To be honest the Q7 will be fantastic with the correct tyres , but do you really want to drive round in any huge car in Romania ?
