belt on Q7 tdi ...............

Ive noticed theres like a timing belt at the front of the engine on the q7 3.0 tdi I wanted to know when this needs changing and if it ever snapped would this cause damage or is it just the pump timing ?

It's not a timing belt ... it is auxiliary item belt (power steering, air con compressor, alternator, coolant pump)

That's the high pressure fuel pump belt ...

Any mileage/age when its due for change? i beleive you can just put them straight on no locking tools or anything,its just old off on with new one.
