Very nice mate, love your work! Always had a soft spot for a MK1 myself, I owned a brand new one when i lived in South Africa! What is going to power this beauty?

Well went i got it, It already had a audi 80 engine 2lt 8v dropped in the front so not going to change it just give it some well deserved tlc and a rebuild.

Wow, looking good, always loved a nice looking White Golf, even more so that its the Mark 1, looking forward to the finished product :)

Looks sweet mate, having just finished my mk1 cabrio , i can appreciate the level of work it takes:rock:

Wow, that's a really nice car dude, and looks very well done indeed! Is the last picture where you are at now, or have you progressed since then?

Hi mate, loving your work, just about to put the same 2.0L in my Mk1 Cab - really struggling with what cam belt cover to use. Are you running with one? if so PLEASE  can i have the part numbers for the top and bottom sections?

Apparently i'll have to cut around the mk1 engine mount .......?

You could save me quite a few sleepless nights here...:sorry:

Cheers.

hi, i have a 2.0 g60 mk1 golf and im after a roll cage for obvious reasons! where did you get yours?

Love it mate - spent hours checking these over at Edition 38 this year - love them!

looks awsome mate ive got a mk1 campaign ive had it just over 12 mths and its in the bare shell stage, it just seems to have ground to a halt, ive got a 2.0 16v p+p head bottom end lightened and balanced with the crank knife edged, seeing your build gives me the enthusiasm to start again, excellent post mate, cheers

Very nice... ive nearly finished the same kind of rebuild on my white mk2 golf.
With mine being a heavy mk2 ive fitted a 2.0 16v with webbers and nos,
It was my first car over 17 years ago and i couldnt let it go,
