    crack in alloy wheel

    I have a small crack in my alloys wheel mid refubishment, i dont have the means to weld it, is it okay to leave it? ist about 13mm long? on the edge and down the back of the bead.

    No, don't leave it. It will eventually fail and possibly fail big time. They can be professionally repaired of course but it'll never be the same. I had one repaired years ago and it was a very good job, but eventually a crack appeared right next to the new weld. I weighed it in with my next lot of aluminium scrap and got a new one. Oh, and a crack in the rim is also an MOT failure.

    Don't risk it!
