my a3, trying to mke it a 1 off haha

    life started of as this

and then first thing i bought were alloys, some nice gallardo reps (each to their own)

it looks clean but the bumpers had spider crack in it and so on , then during stone chips peeled my bonets laquer off and it went like this

so had a primered bonnet for a while which i use as a chalk boared haha, but then it got some slammage and a cupra splitter, i also then smoothed the front number plate and relocated it

and then the big change began, i decided to go satin black as i havent seen many a3's in this coolour

and for a bunch of 18 year olds in a garage ii recon it came out ok haha :P

so at the momment it looks like this

its not finished atm, needs more coats in february towards UD, will have custome one off exhaust built and smoothed rear end, new wheels (see samle below) with some poke , hopefuly a reamped interior, and some tints, THIS CARS BUILT ON A BUDGET and thts y it may look like a pile of WxxNK lol

but heres a preview of new wheels but will be different colour

    current spec
DV - was on it when i bought it :/
    panel filter pipercross
cat back 3 inch system one backbox deleted silencer
    satin black paint
    Lambo reps 8x18 et 35
false floor pioneer setup gold plated
    Audi Sport Leather interior
HID conversion with headlights that has the projector lamp
    Audi TT clutch and flywheel
    Jom coilovers
    polished inlet manifold
    custom side engine covers
smoothed front and relocated number plate

nothing majour but plans for february
    -recoat
    -smoothed rear end
    -custom exhaust
    -new wheels and spaced out
    -tinted windows
    -cleaned bay
    -good service haha
-whiteline ARB so i can go lower haha

and hopefully once my alloys and other parts have sold i can get a remap and do something bout my brakes and my interior sometime

negative and posative comments are welcomed haha

Nice budget project mate, looks quite aggresive, certainly different from the usual audi projects. Personally i would match the wing mirrors to the body colour and i prefer the lambo reps for the current look of the car, i think the new wheels might be a bit fussy for the aggresive satin black look you have going on, just my opinion. Keep us updated with your progress mate.

If thats your exhaust centre section mate, it looks a tad small, whats the bore? 2.25? Id go for a full 3" setup or at least 2.75.

bit gutted after fitting turns out cant do twin as the petrol tank clearance is like 1cm so even the heatwrap wont save the plastic tak, so after ordering my cutom part i was forced to cut it :/ novice mistake so sue me :P

my attepmt at engine covers :P

it does look better inn person though

ud update, new wheels only bout handful of people saw this coming so im bit god at keeping it sush now

first i polishd my rear lights

these will be going all red soon

diy flaring, bottlejack wood and heatgun

    now flared

    now i can lower it

    fat arse

dont diss the ride height, i am running 19x10 but by ud it will be sorted

so this weeks progress is polisehed rear lights, flared arches and bmw x5 wheels 19x10 running 245 stretch

next weeks progress, slightly tinted frnt lights, debadged grill, all red rears, 2 degreee shims , hnr adapters 30mm fr the frnt and then roll frnt arches and then i will be runnig 215 35 stretch on the frnt alloys

thanks, i wanted to be different and lukily enough ive seen the list of cars going to ud and tehres only one other car running x5 wheels

haha i actually recon i cd fit 11s on the rear, still gt bout an inch between the shock and tyre

the frnts going to be tight but ill mke it wrk

and yes i am running coilies (jom) their perfect in the frnt ,,,but the rear springs are way too soft they drop way too mucth when weights added so eibach said they wd mke me some custom rear springs but i need to find out the joms rear springs weights and information before they can and im finding it difficult

umm pretty easy tbh all went well

    heatgun stoped cracking

used teh bottle jack and sum wood to get the first fakre, then simply batter it out bit by bit with a rubber mallet,,,if you only move accross inch my inch you wont get ribbles and ull get equal flare

loving the arch rolling. we used to use a scaffold pole between tyre and arch and drive back and forth, then lower a bit more and do the same. i've made one using a vw jack and skateboard wheel too. did you get a good finish? Steve

well after waiting ages fr my adapters turned out venom sent me 20mm adapters nt the 30mm ones i ordered!! so lukiy they clear the shok by 2mm or less cardboared thin haha but now i cant lower it by the coilies anymore unless i take out teh helpers :P but i will buy the lowering top mounts

progress so far is flared , frnt nd rears on, nice 215/35 stretch on a 9jer my mechanic was not impresed lol but i assured him stretch is safe ha

    not the best pics sorry

still to do, respray, shims, topmounts, interior, frnt nd rear light, show plates nd other lil bits

To be honest on a budget build I think you have done a cracking job, when I first saw the thread starting I thought it was going to end up a mess, but it does look really good, wheels are perfect for it.

You taking it down any lower? Also some lamin-x on the headlights would look pretty good.

i have laminex fr the rears to make em all red

thanks, yes first few pics dont do any justice :/ hahha my faul went through stages of only being able to do lil bits as im in full time education

umm cant adjust front coilovers any mor as it will hit tyre, but ive gt 15 mm lowering top mounts so tht will eliminate the arch gap in the frnt (future ill be looking into uprating the frnt springs and then lower it and flare frnts)

the rear is going lower once i get shims on it , reason its high now is tht the rear springs give way too much so im thinking of getting some mk5 springs or bora springs fron hnr or eibach as they are way stiffer and wont drop as much

the arse end needs to come down alot

    thanks for ure reply
