She's a 2006 2.0TDi 140 BRE S Line

FASH, one owner from new (comapany) , not a bad spec just need to fit cruise and DIS once the warranty expires (i think i got that sorted now as well for a very good price !), then deck and some wheels. Exterior wise she looks spot on as she is IMO but i will be applying some subtle touches. ;) Then some engine/exhaust mods and maybe a re-trim :sly:

Thanks for looking :w00t:

Both nice cars.

Make sure you advertise the wheels here when you sell them.

I guess it's time for the first update !

I've ordered a set of front LED sidelights, unfortunately just cheap tat so they don't work, well they do but they flicker so i'm gonna order some canbus ones.

I also got some LED number plate bulbs with fitted resistors and work perfectly !

I also fitted my old number plate surround :

iPhone fish eye ftw

And also de-badged the boot lid:

Took the front number plate off to fit the number plate surround but i think i'm gonna leave it like this for now:

She still needs cleaning, waiting for my cleanyourcar order to turn up :)

Cheers

Fitted a new gearknob, can't stand long gear levers so it's nice and short now :)

Also, got my Lamin X through the post the other day, straight from the US and A :)

It's subtle tint for the headlights and yellow for the fogs.

Still got my RS6's for sale, £450ono wrapped in Pirelli Pzeros with at least 5mm thread each.

Also looking for a front arm rest top bit (lid) as my clip is broken and the warning triangle holder - if anyone has any (or both!) of these please PM me :)

Cheers !

Hi , PM'd you about the wheels,

Mate where did you get you HID kit, are there any warnings on dash?

People flash you as there too bright or adjusted wrong?

Wanted these for ages but people keep putting me off, also which side light bulbs and any canbus warning from them? thanks.

Hi mate, they did flash me at first but only because of my own stupidity as i've but the drivers side bulb "up side down" somehow, must have been because i was fitting them at night :p Once i've put it the right way round no problems. There's no warning on dash either. Here's the link for the HID's

CANBUS Xenon HID Conversion KIT H1 H7 H11 HB3 HB4 HB4 3 on eBay (end time 01-Mar-11 12:05:00 GMT)

If you click on make offer and put £60 they'll accept it.

Same with the LED side lights, no warnings etc - all good !

VW Tiguan Touareg Touran Golf MK5 SIDE LIGHT LED BULB on eBay (end time 13-Mar-11 16:29:24 GMT)

I know it says they're for a VW but it's the same fitment.

Is there a link to your car thread ? I'm interested in a few bits !

Cheers

I didn't think you could kit a HIDS kit to the B7 because they are reflector headlight and not projector and therefor would dazzle other drivers and not go through the MOT?

Nice one mate that's brilliant, sorry there's Bo thread on my car as stupidly I don't ever take before pictures, only after. Feel free to ask me about anything and I'll point you in the right direction.

In theory you shouldn't fit normal reflector headlights with HIDs , but i have no problems - if i was dazzling other people i'm sure i'd get flashed !

It depends on the tester really if it fails or passes MOT so it's hit and miss - i've known mine for a few years now again no problems there ;)

If i find some B7 projectors for a reasonable price then i might get some.

Cheers

Thanks Triple O G , i will for sure !

How hard were they to fit mate or did you get an indy to do em?

Im guessing it requires bumper off and headlamps out?

Also if your interested i have a group buy on half price remapping going on in the group buy section, we only need 2 more if your up for it? check it out its very cheap.

Hi mate, it depends how big your hands are really ! :p

Passenger side was relatively easy even for me and my sausage fingers, however the drivers side was a right pain in the bum, wish i took the air box out before hand ! Other than that it's pretty straight forward. I always try to make things easy for myself so i didn't even consider removing the bumper and headlights ;) It's all doable. That's for the bulbs, there's not much for the ballasts/inverters/resistors to go but i've made mine pretty secure. Ill get you a picture if you want, you get 4 large cable ties with the kit, very useful. Also remember you need to drill a hole in the plastic bit that goes on the back of the headlight so you can feed the HID wires through it.

Thanks for the offer on the map mate, ill have a look into it but i doubt i'd be able to afford it this/next month :(

Cheers

So it is possible to do it without taking the bumper off? good.

Ive had it off once before to paint my grill but dont fancy doing it again if i can help it, how do i know which way is upside down for the bulb? i only ask due to your accident.

No worries on the group buy but the offers there.

Is there anyway of getting rid of the orange in the headlights? Would look loads better without it.

Yes mate, remove them from car, undo the screw in the back of H/L, place them in oven on a very low heat to melt the mastic that holds them together, seperate them, remove the orange, put in a chrome/ ornage bulb, £15 form Halfords put them back together, heat the mastic again to reseal, use some clear silicone to be very sure there are no leaks and refit them to car.

BTW you have to remove your front bumper to remove the headlights which is not as hard as it sounds.

I quite like the orange indicators and tbh i can't be ***** with the hassle of taking them off and messing with the oven etc.

Triple OG , if you look at the bulb it's got 3 sticking out triangular bits , there are 2 on the top and 1 at the bottom as far as i remember the 2 at the top should be facing upwards.

No ****** wonder your skint old boy! what are thoses wheels?

Sex!

Haha, i will get the car mapped eventually but need to get the exhaust done first and maybe an induction kit aswell - i want a custom map jobby ;) and there's a local company that does a sterling job tbh.

They're Staggered RH ZW3 8.5x18 & 9x18 et40 summit IIRC , ill run them as they are this year then during the winter put the 9s on the front and make the rears 11" :D

11" at ET40? that will be very ridiculous, I had 9" rears at ET35 and they sat outside of the arches.

Looks cool as sh*t though :)

They are gorgoeus, good choice.

What wax or sealent is the car wearing?

Well the RS6's are sold to a forum member so still got the tyres for sale as well !

Also still looking for the front armrest top bit as my clip is broken and also looking for the boot warning triangle holder, not sure if it's the same as in A6s/Passats etc ?

If anyone got any of the above, please PM me - thanks !
