A shot i was rather pleased with when taking a few snaps of my friends dog

Really nice shot. Good to see someone doing it properly instead of focusing on the end ot the pups nose.

Very nice shot mate, just wondering what post processing you did? have you desaturated it then put the colour back in the eyes?

Basically created another layer in Photoshop and farted about with blacks & and white's and also the brightness/contrast, then rubbed out the eyes on the on the duplicate layer to create the effect.

Got the idea from a shot i seen in " Digital SLR " mag. I'm still trying to get my head around editing photo's .

I've had my SLR for about a year or so and i'm still baffled by all the setting's and stuff, I know the basics. Pretty much trial and error with me at the moment.......oh and the money side.

The set up I would want would cost more than my A3!
