    Some American Muscle

Saturday just gone, I went to Shakespeare County Raceway with the West Midland's boys from ClioSport.

I didn't run my tank-like Audi, but I did take some pictures.

Comments and criticism welcome as always!

I love that purple Mk1 Escort, it's a shame there is a tent peeping put above it otherwise that sky and the light really made for a good picture.

It was clearly a bright sunny day, which is hard to get the exposure right on a car and often you end up with dark sides on the vehicles. A bit of fill with the flash would have helped I think.

Panning shots are good, nice motion and sharp subject, you've got that nailed!

    Cheers man, great comments/crit, thanks!

I'd have never of thought to use a flash, but now you mention it.... Perhaps now is the time to buy one...

Couldn't agree more with the Escort - that shot had so much potential. The problem was, the other side was very dark due to shadows.

You're welcome, I find it enormously helpful when people crit your work...as long as its balanced and constructive.

With the flash thing, some people prefer to use a reflector, especially on a bright day like that it would have worked well and give a slightly softer light. It also means not struggling with the flash bounce on the number plates which is the biggest problem with using a flash on cars.
