The GTO in the States was the real killer. 'Cudas and other Mopar's were great, too, but only the Superbird could kick the *** off the GTO.

Oh my.... the good ol' days. Boy do I remember them well. I remember toasting 'maros and 'birds with my Shelby Cougar - what a sleeper!

I want to buy a GTO in a couple of years and restore it. Got a mate whos doing up a '55 Oldsmobile, proper rod style. 20" chrome rims, airbag suspension riding about 1" off the ground for normal use. cant wait for him to finish it...should be sweet! Went to a rod show last august for the weekend and was REALLY fun. Modern car shows just cant compare! The atmosphere is like nothing else at these kind of shows.
