hi dont drive the wifes corsa 'c' 2001 car that much she has been complaining vibration through the steering wheel when she goes over pot holes or speed humps etc.. and has a bit of play in the wheel. bearings ok.

went to get somes tyres changed today when the guy who changed my tyres drove the car he said steering cups need changing and its a common problem?
never heard of steering cups before

1st off where are these located? how much would this cost? and what should i expect to pay to get this done

cheers!

Shot in the dark mate but aren't the 'cups' where the power stearing rack attaches or links to the TREs? or maybe just the TRE's themselves? Just like big ball joint type things? If you ask me, steering cups is as techincal a description as 'Control Disc to Make Picture in Window Change' aka Steering wheel. But what I do know?!

couldn't resist - sorry.

TBH, I'm thinking track rod ends. It sounds like the most common symptoms your experiencing and whatever you do get a second opinion before going back to the guy who's probably to busy trying to change the spark plugs in a tdi motobike....
