If you had the option would you?

I found this and wondered what you thought.
It would mean selling wifeys VR6 and a RIB but would it be worth it?

I enquired to G-power and this what I got back:

Vielen Dank fr Ihre Anfrage ber einen Kompressorkit zum BMW Z3 2.2l. Gerne
bieten wir wie folgt an:

G280110030

G-POWER Supercharger kit EVO S 2.2K for automatic- or manual
transmission. Conversion of 2.2l series engine. Output: 184kW (250hp), 0.35
bar boost pressure, consisting of: Integrated G-POWER supercharger G21 in
series strap-drive, with high-performance centrifugal clutch for declutching

EUR 600.00
incl. VAT

G280110040

G-POWER Supercharger kit EVO I 2.2K manual transmission. Conversion of
2.2l series engine. Output: 206kW (280hp), 0.45 bar boost pressure,
consisting of: Integrated G-POWER supercharger G21 in series strap-drive,
with high-performance centrifugal clutch for declutching in neutral, G-POWER
sport air filter, air intake pipe, aluminium air cooler, stainless-steel air
way pipe, adjustment of the engine electronic and G-POWER logo. Recommended
auxilliary equipment: Optimized G-POWER stainless-steel rear silencer and
G-POWER speedo up to 300 km/h. Output: 206kW (280hp) / 5990 r.p.m. Max.
torque: 350 Nm / 3550 r.p.m. V-Max: more than 240 km/h 0-100 km/h: 5,5 sec.
EUR 7622.00
incl. VAT

Assembly costs (average estimate/depending on efforts)
EUR 1200.00
incl. VAT

So for 280HP total costs would be around 9000 euros (6000) and would take about 2 weeks, so a flight and eurotunnel trip would need to be costed in.

My estimate is 127HP per litre, simple maths says 381 for your 3 litre – more then a M3. Tempted now

what about selling the Beemer, and buying an S4 and RS2 Avant with the you would spend on the mods? You could also chip the Audi for less than 1k.

Now tell me thats a bad idea

Sorry but I think thats a hell of alot of money for 5/6psi. If you want this done properly drop the CR, more boost ( like 10psi+ ) *then* it'd be worth the money.

Bin the beemer, buy a turbo car.... cheaper to tune.

Not the answer you wanted I know!

Nice idea, but the (trouble brewing) prob is that the BMW drives better for me than a S2, and even with the mods would cost half an RS4! And go as quickly....theoreticaly
