Thread: A3 SPORTBACK REAR SEAT AND BENCH REMOVAL.. ANYONE!!????

Ive been at it for ages but i cant seem to make any of the seats come out of my sportback, hell i cant even take off the middle head rest! im at the point to rip them out, what is the logical way of doing this?? i got these isofixing points i think as well! HELP!

OK no help as per usual, ANY way i used alot of brute force and took out the rear bench, all you do is pull upwards from the front edge.. now the back rests and that darn central head rest...... help anyone at all?

you should be more patient... everyone here likes to help but 10.30am is the sort of time people are rather busy! + its quite a longish post to put together so even harder to respond..

now i have a 3door so dont know how it varies but here goes...

rear bench (bit you sit on) pull the front hard and it shopuld pop up out of two grommets.... one of mine broke when i did it.. then you simply unhook it and that out... oh and remember to undo the seat belt bolt... (socket wrench) i forgot and when taking out the rear bench from the car got pulled back and nearly stacked it into the car!!

for the backrests - tilt forward, go to boot, there is a black plastic cap in between where they are split (in my case 60/40 split.. remove cap and you will see a Torx screw... remove Torx screw (i beleive T-30) once screw is taken out a black metal cover should slide off enabling you to literally pull the rear seats out!

I hit my head twice taking the rear bench off, hope that helps! :D i was in a state of emergency so stop wetting your beds plus i gave good advice to any potential seekers of help with regards to this by telling them how to take the rear bench off! i dont know what to expect, when i had a saxo i joined the saxo sports club and then chaps used to reply before you finished the post lol.... well near enough and im not joking but thank you guys still!! much apreciated and will be more patient next time.

i second that mate this forum has been such a help to me when i have problems with my car so it is really good of people to give up there time to try and help you to resolve problems with your pride and joy even if its just a part number so you can order new parts for your car etc..
