COD on DIS

If you have the on board computer up with the average mpg at the bottom, it say when its in 2 cylinder mode.
As cuke2u said, this works on some and not others. Mine didn't have that display, but I enabled it with VCDS and it now behaves as you say.

Aha, thanks guys I found the option on the DIS. Wish I could have it showing with the speedo tho, as I'm starting to get OCD staring at the mpg!

Here's the display in 2-cyl mode. I just took the picture today. It's in Spanish but it's easy to figure out. Sorry for the blurriness but hey, I was driving! 
In 4-cyl, the "2 cylinder mode" indication is replaced by the standard one: total and partial mileage, if memory serves.
