Quote from a recent long term drive test report on the A3:

"I hadn’t realised the on/off/volume knob can be knocked left and right just like the main MMI rotary control."

Er - what? The main rotary control can be knocked left and right? I don't think so... I'll check tomorrow though!

They have had a few strange 'facts' in their reports, it's a bit strange. I'm not sure where their info is coming from! They claimed a while ago that the rotary dial vibrates when you get an incoming call - which I tested and turned out to be nonsense.

Ha, yes I remember that too. I'm sure there were a few people testing out the imaginary vibrating knob in their car after they published that!

Yes, but he's saying the main dial does the same thing - it doesn't!

I'm sure in some cars a little knob changes the track.

Kept meaning to post back here - I tested this, and it is of course nonsense

Damm, I want a vibrating knob, where was that on the options list?

Made me chuckle, I think we should make a rule that all ASN threads should contain smutty innuendo ;)

Why are you talking about Italian suppositories Joe?

I thought the OP was talking about knobs!
