I'm thinking of purchasing a new RS3 when they come out in 2015. Any ideas of price and when they will be available.

Ive ve seen the picture of the new RS3 in that met blue and was thinking of that colour with either white or light grey leather. extended leather package advanced key and comfort pack , front parking sensors and rear view camera.

Honestly can't wait for the configure becomes available on the audi website

anyone else thinking of getting one

They'll be £40,000 if not a bit more. Think you'll be waiting a while for the configuration thing to be honest, defiantly at least the end of the year I'd say

You will see it announced later on in the year at a motorshow no doubt and then on sale next year,

Looking at around the same price as the last one then whatever options you're wanting, but reckon on spending around 40-50k easily

Starting price on the last one was £39,000. I know everyone keeps speculating but does bringing the RS3 out one year after making the S3 available really sound like something Audi would do? Save yourself by all means but be prepared to wait longer than this.

With the exception of the current RS6, RS products are launched towards the end of that model cycle or before a revision / face lift. RS3 (original Sportback model launch 2004) and RS5 (model launched 2007) are good examples of this.

So unless they do something similar like the RS6 I think you are going to be looking end of 2015 or mid 2016 (after the major motor shows).

I think the interesting thing is maybe the Merc A45 might change thinking at Audi where that was available not long after the model launch.

Dream on... :readit:

Base price for the RS3 in 2011/12 was £39.930. Add Blue +£1735: Leather +£1990: Bose +£450... and on, and on...

This for example was a lot closer to £50k than £40K:

Just what I thought, even the RS3 with a decent spec is still an audi so there will be extras you want to pay more for. And as others have said it will be 2015/16. Unless they relly want to make something special and take the next step up against BMW and Mercedes, which I think is what everybody wants.

I bought this Cornflower blue for the long term Bob, and that's why its cost was acceptable to me.

And, 2-years on, there's nothing I'd change Bluey for, so the long term investment is still looking good.

I've just specced up an S3 saloon and it's a touch over 40k, so after looking at the cost of the RSQ3 I'd think the new RS3 is going to be £45/50k

this could be why there may be an s3 plus to rival the a45amg with an rs variant late next yr possibly yr after

But I'm sure that Kings Lynn will be offering deals on these too :)

If there really is room for as S3 Plus in the range the. RS3 would have to be pretty special / expensive

Can't see how an S3 Plus would exist. Other than a small power hike, I can't think what else would be different other than perhaps a special edition black like the Golf GTI Edition 30/35? Even then, the power hike will most probably be down to a sharper factory remap giving 30-40bhp more.

Back the the RS3, new version of the 2.5 TFSI could see factory bhp go to 380bhp easily. Will be an awesome engine to tune, just like the current engine.

You could always get a 235i ? During the wait, has great reviews. unlikely as good as an RS3 though?

And no doubt it will look all plastic inside with a screen mounted on top of the dash which looks crap,

Ok then here goes, ball park figure (just fir fun) What price per month do you think this RS3 will be with this spec?

Exclusive blue
Exclusive white leather with extended pack
Comfort pack
B and O
Sat nav
Advance key
And probably black styling pack
(Who knows if any of these will be included or not)

I'm thinking of having it delivered April 2017 so ordering it sep 2016

My s3 will be 6 years old then and hopefully trading it in against the Rs3

God knows the the APR will be then but if we go off today's figures I'm thinking in the ball park off £600 pm
Or is that dreaming? I'll go as far as £650 pm does this sound realistic?
Remember this is just for fun as we even know if one will be out by then.

Depends on your deposit, but I would expect that car with that spec to be over £45k by quite a margin.

I've just bought an S5, and with dealer discount contribution and 4.9% APR came in at £634 PCM with a £5k deposit.

I'd imagine the RS3 will cost more than my S5 so expect to pay north of £650pcm unless you lay down a heavy deposit (and that will be a 48 month agreement)

I reckon £650 would be plenty as a guideline on a £45,000 rs3 (guessing), with a £5000 deposit over 48 months my workings out would be about £500pcm with audis 6.5% rate. Final value figure of £25,000 which seems about right when you look at current cars

I'd say ATM don't speculate on the unknown, completely pointless until any base price is announced. It also depends on if it's limited like the last one as no doubt you would have to put a deposit down before the order books opened

Price will be somewhere between £40k and £50k anything lower would be too close to s3 and anything higher to close to rs4 or whatever else is next step up

I cant see base Rs3 being much over 40k as has already said it will start getting into RS4 money and if thats the case my money will be going on an RS4 instead.

Still will have to wait and see, be interesting if they bring it out in sportback and saloon and if thats the case the saloon will be abit more going off the S3 prices.

Got an email from the dealer I bought my S3 from earlier as they're RS specialists. It read

No news on the new RS3 as yet, but you will be the first to know mate.
:)

I don't think you'll see one before mid-end 2015.

Lighter, 370bhp VW Golf R Evo confirmed | Autocar

If this comes out it might open the possibility of one????

If VW build that car I would expect prices from £50k. Sub 4 sec, lightweight body and limited production suggest a very special car indeed.

Vauxhall are doing a similar Astra GTC Ltd Edition so it looks like it may be quite a fight for top hot hatch. No doubt Renault will wade in. Problem for Audi is the RS3 if they do the S+, but maybe there is room for an 'Ultra Clubsport' for a very limited market?

Paris motor show starts tomorrow (Thursday) and rumour is the new RS3 will be unveiled.

Yep & I shall be there in a few days to see it in the flesh.........can't wait!

Just watched the press conference. No RS3 unveiling. Instead it was a concept TT sportback and the A6 Ultra. SO, perhaps we have to wait until the next motor show.

Audi Dublin had the old shape (8P) 5 door RS3 in about 6 months ago.....

Road Tax was 1200 euro a year and the price including all Taxes was 79,900 euro :(

Geneva apparently. While off yet

terrible terrible terrible absolutely TERRIBLE TT's there, I can't express the fuglyness off the new TT bodyshape. Internals look good with the fancy tech but o.m.g dropped the ball imo

I've read in numerous places LA next month for the next RS3.

With the Merc and Bimmer 235i and M2 on the way, Audi will bring the RS3 next year, without question.

With the success of the previous RS3, I don't expect it to be a limited number run. Remember the original 500 car numbers turned out to be 1000 as Audi released a further 500 after demand was so great.

I'm patiently waiting. It should have an aggressive body (hoping like a mini RS6, flared arches and not boxed as on RS4). I'll be all over a Daytona with optics. Can't wait.
