My initial thought was that only 367 HP, doesn't seem much an additional 20HP over the existing RS3. However considering the likely weight savings, it could prove very potent. Will be interesting to watch this, i'd like to see what torque levels the car will have.

Surely we won't see a 370BHP S3 Plus then from the turbo'd 4?? The BHP are too alike suggesting it was the RS3 all along...

I wonder if VW will release a Golf R Evo to compete on terms with RS3 (but in a slightly different configuration) and S3+ won't exist at all as it's effectively RS3.

VW got burned by the Leon Cupra R Mk1 back in the day, and may feel they want an RS3 competitor to satisfy Golf fans. DOn't see any reason for an S3+ given conservative RS3 power claims.

Yeah think you maybe right there. I was actually a bit annoyed about the prospect of an S3 Plus so quickly after the S3, 2-3 years would have fitted better allowing existing owners to upgrade.

Would still be slightly annoyed seeing an RS Golf mind you
