Navigation upgrade

Hi all,

As you can see, I'm from belgium. I expect my S3 within couple of weeks but I have a question for you. I didn't order the navigation pack (a bit too expensive) but my MMI is navigation ready. This means (according to my dealer), they can put the software on a SD card and my navigation will work. Is that correct? Anyone knows how much it will cost or how to "unlock" this? Thx in advance and sorry for my broken English :)
 
Hi, you will need to purchase the navigation SD card from your dealership, about £400, price as here in the UK. Then they have to activate, or register, your navigation system which is about another £100..

So you really need registration/activation? Not possible via mods?
 
Ok no problem. I'll ask my dealer to activate it later when the car will arrive... Just wondering what they need to do. So I won't lose my car for another week or also. Should be done the same day, no?
 
All they'll need to do is order in the SD Maps pack and licence code (standard part), takes a matter of minutes to install.
