VCDS-Mods - WARNING

You carry out any of the code changes using VCDS mentioned in this thread at your own risk. They may have been tested by the person giving the original post on their own car but may not be suitable for all versions of the 8V model. Make sure that you make a note of any existing codes BEFORE you make any changes so that you can always go back if necessary.

If you do not understand how VCDS works and what you are changing DO NOT play with things or you may stop you car from working correctly

It is also possible that some of the codes changes may affect your Audi warranty and possibly it's legality in your country and ability to pass a MOT or it's local equivalent.

Please be aware of this before you make any changes.

Please also note that there are three threads relating to VCDS. This thread is for a WARNING about using VCDS to change codes on your car. VCDS Mods is only for information about the codes to use with VCDS and NOT for general discussions about the rights and wrongs of carrying out particular code changes. For that please use the VCDS - Discussions thread. If you do start 'discussions' in the Mods thread they will be moved or deleted.
