Ah right ok. So if I just went to a dealer would they have to tell me if the car I want to order is stock or factory then?
Well if its stock your just going to get it quick.
If they can't supply stock, your going to get an estimated build date, a confirmed build date, its built and on its way, then an agreed delivery date......And it will take 3-4 months to get the car......
I'd say little chance of getting a stock car, but if you want a car built for you, order some extras then they have to custom build.
Did you go to a dealer??
Would the dealer add privacy glass themselves if they find a stock car?
Unlikely.. but they will find a 'fake tan' person to apply something that looks OK for a while.
There are generally batch number ID codes in factory glass I believe. Aftermarket tints will often scratch off.
That's just it grex. Touch it knock it scratch it... You're stuffed!
Is there no way it can be done after the car has been built? So if audi had it put on would I be able to tell?
If you get after market tints done professionally with a lifetime warranty then won't have any issues and not readily noticeable that they're not oem
I was wondering if you placed an order would it be factory made or is there stock sat there waiting to be sold?
That's right - do you not think the salesman would want to get you in it as quickly as he could?
Audi are just different to ford, Vauxhall etc - generally cars are built for customers / dealers and they don't just pile airfields full of stock ready to sell to whoever.
I appreciate that and that's my thoughts but I wanted to be 100% sure... Is there any way I
Can do this apart from take the salesmans word?
sure they would be able to give you a print out from there system or even show you the order on there system?
I was sent a copy of the Audi system order via email showing the order number, build slot, build week and all the options, plus delivery port etc.
