After having my new a3 retracked and aligned my steering wheel still sits to the left while driving .. Never driven another one so don't know if this is normal ? Just seems very camber sensitive

18" wheels can be this way and perhaps because the steering wheel is flat at the bottom it is accentuated?

If the cars all aligned ok, not pulling, but wheels of slightly, then ask the dealer to move it round 1 tooth on the spline.

new car dealer problem
it would be staying there till sorted.

But at village speeds it's fine ?? If the wheel was out it would be all the time ?

Unless your steering assist is problematic, just take it back to audi & ask them to address it, unless its your mind :p

Had this problem on my A4 took to main dealers under warranty twice and they still couldn't sort it then went to a independent tyre specialist sorted in 10 minutes turned out Audi kept trying to track the car on the back wheels only because they claim that all cars steer from the back, independents tracked the front which was out and never had a problem since also never have been able to get my head around why main dealers didn't track the front. Indies told me they use the same tracking system as Audi but the difference is they knew how to use it.

god almighty, name and shame that Audi garage so I can never visit them!

Question is did they ACTUALLY DO the alignment if it was no different after?... I had same problem with my MX5 when it was new... On 3rd visit to dealer I stood next to the technician in the workshop while he did it [again...]? and miraculously it was perfect after!

Are these new Audi a3s very camber sensitive ? Please look at your steering wheel and give me some feedback? Does the flat bottom steering wheel sit straight ?

You do seem to be getting a bit OCD on this -hundreds of views of this thread and other related threads started by you on this topic and you appear to be the only person with this issue might actually answer your question as you have asked the question several times and dont think anyone else has the same issue - or do you want 100 "my steering wheel sits straight" responses

Noticed today that cruise control switch was pressed forward .. Pushed back to off position and it seemed to change the steering ?? Now steering seems more straighter .. Will reaccess tomoz .. Can these be linked ? Defo made a difference

It looks like the issue is the nut behind the steering wheel

Do you remember having the steering wheel straightness issue from day 1 of car use or it appeared after hitting a curb or falling into a

pothole?
