With lots of us ordering the truly outstanding sound system that is the B&O I thought it might be cool to create a topic in which people can post songs that they think will show off the capabilities of the system fully. They have to be actual songs & can be any genre.

I've always liked using Dire Straits - Money For Nothing, I love the sound of the drums & guitar at the start!

All of Daft Punk Random Access Memories, sounds out of this world on the B&O. Also as said above, bass line on paradise is excellent.

In my opinion Black eyed peas Boom boom pow is epic for hearing both bass and treble. Guy at works got an S4 with B&O and it blows your socks off!

If you're talking black eyes peas surely it's 'pump it' that's going to blow your socks off!

Maybe try listening to Tool Eulogy (or in fact the whole Aenima album), which should have enough of everything to test the quality of the stereo.

Massive Attack - unfinished sympathy
old school but good tune for testing a sound system !

It seems that you have a quite similar taste than I have except that I would also add Madonna - American life which is generally challenging for speakers.

Tom

Good choices, especially Fuel!

I would also recommend almost any track from Metallicas S&M album but in particular "Until it sleeps" and of course "One"!!

Jay-Z / Justin Timberlake - Holy Grail (Just for the verse).
The 1975 - Chocolate
Outkast - BOB
James Blake - Retrograde
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Sacrilege
London Grammar - Hey Now
Nas - The Don
Emeli Sandé - Heaven
The London Metropolitan Orchestra / The Cinematic Orchestra - Arrival of the birds

After your recommendation I tried it today.

Sounds awesome!! Managed to slowly crank it all the way to the "ARE YOU NUTTS!" 49 using all 705 watts without any distortion, maybe a little blood from my ears though lol

Lucky ******, I still have 5 weeks to wait! There's been loads of good and varied suggestions so far! It should keep my journey back from Carlisle to Cambridge that bit more enjoyable!

This will be my first one with B&O

S.P.Y - You - Official Video - YouTube

Sounds crazy already with my current A3 8P & Audi Concert.

2:11 -> crazy basslines

The better the sound system, the better this track is :)

EDIT: tell me if you didn't get goosebumps while trying this

I've got a good 50 songs and counting in my playlist now. The night before I pickup the car I'll share it with everybody. I'm using Spotify so all those who have Spotify will be able to download it!

Martin Garrix "Animals" is pretty impressive on my Audi upgrade, would be worth a bang on the B&O

How good is the sound system? Has anyone come from a MK6 Golf R or GTI with the premium sound option? How does it compare to that for example or to an aftermarket system?

How old are some of you lot?

A youngish (I like to think) 50!!!! With a wide range in taste in music from the Clash through to Martin Garrix with lots of twists and turns en route.

which reminds me "Rock the Casbah" sounds pretty decent on the Audi upgrade
