2.0T Quattro?

Hi everyone,

I would like to find out if Audi is going to release an A3 with 2.0t Quattro like the 8P. BMW and Mercedes have the 125i and A250 respectively. In comparison, ​Audi 1.8t is less powerful unless we buy an S3.

Little confused? Isn't that the point of the S3 2.0TFSI Quattro 300ps?

Yeah I'm not sure there's a market for a 2.0T any more. The 1.8 is high enough power that 200PS from a 2.0T wouldn't be enough so it'd have to be 220-230, which is starting to encroach on the S3 and would likely pinch sales. The focus these days is on emissions and economy so I think those who are concerned about that would go for the 1.8 whilst those who aren't would go for the S3.
